Short Sightedness (Myopia)

Myopia is a refractive defect of the eye where one can see clearly at near but experiences blur when viewing distant objects. It can be a result of many causes such as a steeper cornea, or a eyeball that is too long.
The most common form of myopic correction is spectacles or contact lenses. Theses corrective devices will help the eye to focus light back onto the retina, resulting in a sharper clearer vision.
Generally, classification of myopia can be.
Mild Myope = < -3.00
Diopter Moderate Myope = > -3.00 Diopter but < -6.00 Diopter
High Myope = > -6.00 Diopter
High Myope = > -6.00 Diopter
