An eye with Astigmatism usually produces 2 focusing point at different distances. This can be a result of a non-spherical optical medium such as an irregular cornea surface. Correction of this refractive error is most commonly done with spectacles or contact lenses. Uncorrected astig will produce fuzzy images, due the eye inability to focus on fine details.
